Chelsea's Adventures in Book Blogging...

I've fairly recently become obsessed with reading. This is just me sharing that love with the world. :)

Currently in the (apparently long) process of importing my books from GR.

State of Wonder - Ann Patchett I'd say 2.5. I think I would recommend it for a book club, as ethics and morality are a major theme & you could have some great conversations stemming from the book. It was also beautifully written. That said, not really my normal cup of tea. There was never really a time that I felt compelled to read on, like I couldn't put it down. The characters were really difficult to identify with, I felt absolutely no connection to any of these weird people (and I normally get very connected). Some books are trying to convey a deeper message or trying to provoke thought... others are just for entertainment. And some even manage to be entertaining while conveying their message! This was not a very entertaining book, but I see where the author was going with it. It's just not where I wanted to go.
